Charles County Sheriff's Reports


LA PLATA, Md. (July 30, 2009) - The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

FIRST-DEGREE BURGLARY: On July 29 at 9:19 p.m., officers responded to the 9200 block of Montgomery's Post Place in Nanjemoy for the report of a burglary. Investigation revealed two suspects, Lonnie Darnell Cole, Jr., 21, and Lavonta Antoine Price, 18, both of Nanjemoy, forced entry into a neighbor's home in an attempt to assault individuals inside. The suspects were arrested and charged with first-degree burglary. Officer E. Weaver made the arrest.

ARMED ROBBERY: On July 29 at 10:20 a.m., officers responded to the BP gas station at 2050 Crain Highway in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed the suspect approached an employee, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled. No one was injured. The Major Crimes Unit is investigating.

SECOND-DEGREE ASSAULT: On July 29 at 2 a.m., officers responded to the 10000 block of Rhodes Drive in White Plains for the report of an assault. Investigation revealed the suspect, William Eugene Frye, III, 51, of Lusby, forced his way inside the home of an ex-girlfriend and assaulted her. Frye was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, burglary and trespassing. Officer K. Lerch made the arrest.
