Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (July 28, 2009) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office Monday released the following incident and arrest reports.

DOP: Sometime between 10:30 p.m. on July 20 and July 22 at 8:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) used spray paint to deface two street signs, a stop sign, the roadway and a fire hydrant on McDuff and Dundee Drives in Chesapeake Beach. The damage is estimated at $200. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Daniel Deakins at 410-535-2800.

THEFT: A Mercury Cruiser Alpha 1 Generation 2 boat motor, valued at $2500, was stolen from a boat moored at the KB Derr Marina on Rousby Hall Road in Lusby between July 22 and 24. Dep. Jason Lord is continuing the investigation.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On July 25 at 2:30 a.m. Dep. Justin Livingston responded to a home on Wilson Road in Prince Frederick for a fight in progress. Upon arrival he observed approximately 150 people standing in the front yard hollering at each other. One individual started harassing Dep. Livingston and was asked to cease but he did not so he was arrested. Kelsey Jerrod Butler, 20 of Chesapeake Beach, was charged with disorderly conduct and failure to obey a law enforcement officer.

THEFT: Three suspects were arrested at the Dunkirk Walmart on July 25 at 3:15 p.m. after they were observed stealing two television sets valued at over $600. One suspect assaulted a store employee while leaving the store. DFC Paul Wood responded to the shopping center for the report of a theft. The suspect vehicle was located with a woman inside who told police that one suspect had jumped into her vehicle and ordered her to drive, then got out of the vehicle and ran into the woods located to the north of the shopping center. Witnesses stated they saw an individual run through the parking lot of the McDonald's located at the corner of Town Center Blvd. and Md. Rt. 4. The suspect was seen attempting to climb into the trash dumpster. He was apprehended by police. The woman in the vehicle was later determined to have been involved in the theft. The third suspect, who had run into the wooded area, was later located and also taken into custody. James R. Cooper, 21 of Owings, was charged with theft, possession of heroin and possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia, a metal spoon, and possession of controlled paraphernalia, a hypodermic syringe. Carl J. Siegel, 24 of Chesapeake Beach, was charged with theft, possession of heroin, possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia, a metal spoon, possession of controlled paraphernalia, a hypodermic syringe, and assault. Madilyn R. Tall, 21 of Sunderland, was also charged with theft, possession of heroin, possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia, a metal spoon and possession of controlled paraphernalia, a hypodermic syringe.
