St. Mary's County BCI Narcotics Arrests


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (July 21, 2009) - The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) Narcotics Division recently released the following incident and arrest reports.

COCAINE DISTRIBUTION: Vice Narcotics detectives developed Thomas Sebastian Gough, age 44 of Leonardtown, as a target in a cocaine distribution operation. The investigation revealed that Gough was selling cocaine from various locations throughout St. Mary's County. Two locations were found to be homes where cocaine and proceeds were being stored. St. Mary's County Sheriff Office Emergency Services Team members executed a search and seizure warrant, obtained by Vice Narcotics detectives. Cocaine, a scale, packaging material, nearly $1,500 in cash and two firearms (shotgun and handgun) were recovered. Suspect Gough is a two-time convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing any firearms. He was charged accordingly and additional charges are pending a State's Attorney's Office review.

DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE: Vice Narcotics detectives conducted an investigation into suspect James Ralph Taylor's (aka "Nee Nee") alleged cocaine distribution in the Lexington Park area. As a result of that investigation, Taylor was indicted by the St. Mary's County Grand Jury. An arrest warrant was issued and Taylor was arrested and charged with Distribution of Cocaine.

The BCI Narcotics Division is an investigative team comprised of Detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police Drug Enforcement Division and Federal Drug Agents (HIDTA Group 34). The Division was established on September 1st, 2007 and is based in St. Mary’s County.
