MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (July 21, 2009) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) recently released the following incident and arrest reports.

SHOPLIFTING: On July 15, 2009 at 9:50 a.m., Trooper First Class Bowling responded to Roland's Grocery store in the Chesapeake Beach for a reported shoplifter in custody. Beverly A. Daniels, 40 of Chesapeake Beach, was arrested and charged with theft.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On July 15, 2009 at 1:58 p.m., Trooper Saucerman responded to the 8000 block of Forest Ridge Drive in Chesapeake Beach, for a reported theft from a vehicle. Unknown suspect(s) had removed an IPOD from the center console of the unlocked vehicle.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On July 15, 2009 at 6:47 p.m., Corporal White was contacted regarding the theft of a license plate from a vehicle. The victim reported that while shopping in Walmart, the rear registration plate was stolen from the vehicle.

COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY: On July 16, 2009 at 11:15 a.m., Trooper Saucerman responded to the McDonald's in Dunkirk for a fraud complaint. The complainant reported that a patron had paid for items with a counterfeit $20 bill two times during this day. The suspect was described as a white male wearing white t-shirt and blue shorts.

THEFT: On July 16, 2009 at 12:18 p.m., Trooper Parker responded to the1500 block of Avenue D in St. Leonard for a reported theft. Two skateboards were stolen from the victim's yard. One was a black "Mongoose" skateboard and the other a black "Walmart" skateboard.

BURGLARY: On July 18, 2009 at 11:42 a.m., Trooper Wyer responded to the 800 block of Calvert Towne Drive in Prince Frederick, for a reported burglary. A laptop computer and a safe were removed from the residence.

THEFT: On July 7, 2009 at 9:00 a.m., Trooper First Class Murphy responded to the 1600 block of Lottie Fowler Rd., Prince Frederick, for a reported theft. A 22" Poulan Pro self-propelled lawn mower was stolen from the victim's yard.

THEFT: On July 9, 2009 at 1:48 p.m., Trooper M. Haut responded to the 100 block of Leason Cove Dr., Lusby, for a reported theft. A Johnson 4HP Outboard Motor was stolen from a dock behind the victim's residence.

THEFT: On July 9, 2009 at 10:30 a.m., Trooper First Class Murphy responded to the 1200 block of Calvert Beach Rd. for a reported theft. Yard ornaments were stolen from the victim's front yard.

THEFT: On July 10, 2009 at 6:30 p.m., Trooper Saucerman responded to the 160 block of Cross Point Road in Owings, for a reported theft. A Cobra Diamondback bicycle had been stolen from the shed in the back yard.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On July 11, 2009 at 1:00 p.m., Trooper First Class Dawson stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Route 4 at Route 260 in Dunkirk. The driver, Milton E. Hall, Jr., 32 of Capitol Heights, was placed under arrest for violating a final protection order. Mr. Hall and a passenger, Shakita L. Sheppard, 24 of Capitol Heights, were found to be in possession of marijuana. They were taken to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
