MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (July 20, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT OVER $500: On Sunday, July 12 at 1:04 pm, Tpr. M. J. Pitcher responded to the 38000 block of Lockes Crossing Road in Mechanicsville for the reported theft of an outboard Motor. Tpr. Pitcher made contact with the male complainant, 64, of Mechanicsville who advised he last saw the gray 2007 Yamaha 25 MSH outboard motor on July 10 at approximately 3:00 pm. He discovered it missing off his Jon boat at approximately 1:00 pm on July 12. Neighborhood checks were conducted with negative results. The investigation continues and the motor has been entered in NCIC.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, July 13 at 9:50 pm, Justin Michael Suite, 21, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. N. E. Gresko on an Arrest Warrant (T3-14023) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on July 9. The original charge was Assault 2nd Degree. Mr. Suite was served the warrant at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was already incarcerated on unrelated charges. He is being held pending his initial appearance before the court.

POSSESSION OF CDS NOT MARIJUANA: On Tuesday, July 14 at 1:15 pm, Donald Sheldon Strickland, 30, of Great Mills was arrested by Tpr. J. A. Pilkerton for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance not Marijuana. Mr. Strickland was operating a gray Lincoln Town Car when he was stopped on Winding Way at Oregon Way in Great Mills for not being restrained by his seat belt. While speaking with Mr. Strickland, TFC J. A. Pilkerton observed in plain view a glass smoking device containing cocaine. Mr. Strickland was placed under arrest and transported to the Leonardtown Barrack where he was also processed for Driving under the Influence. Mr. Strickland was later found to be driving under the influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Mr. Strickland was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

BURGLARY AND THEFT UNDER $100: On Tuesday, July 14 at 8:53 pm, Tpr. J. C. Hardesty responded to the 27000 block of North Sandgates Road in Mechanicsville for the reported burglary and theft under $100.00. Once on the scene, contact was made with the female complainant, 32, of Mechanicsville. She advised unknown suspect(s) entered their residence and took approximately $70.00 in assorted coins some of which were Bicentennial Quarters. The investigation continues.

THEFT OVER $500: On Wednesday, July 15 at 6:42 am, TFC M. A. Koock responded to the 21000 block of Spyglass Way in Lexington Park for the reported malicious destruction of property and theft from motor vehicle. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 43, of Lexington Park. She advised unknown suspect(s) broke out the passenger side window on the complainant's 2003 gold Nissan Altima causing an estimated damage of $500.00. The suspect(s) then removed the TV/DVD entertainment system from the dashboard valued at $800.00 and two headrest TVs valued at $250.00 each. The total estimated damage and theft from the vehicle is $1,800.00. The theft occurred between the hours of 10:30 pm July 14 - 6:15 am, July 15. The TV/DVD entertainment system has been entered into NCIC and the investigation continues.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, July 15 at 11:55 am, Robert Jacob Eberle Jr., 20, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC J. Stern on a Grand Jury Indictment issued by the Circuit Court in Leonardtown on July 13. The original charge was Burglary 2nd Degree with a Firearm. Mr. Eberle was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, July 15 at 9:30 pm, Kiva Trinette Keemer, 28, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. J. S. Gibson on an Arrest Warrant (T314002) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on June 20. The original charge was Theft over $500.00. Ms. Keemer turned herself in at the Leonardtown Barrack and was transported to the St Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, July 16 at 11:20 am, Tpr. G. A. Thompson initiated a traffic stop on Loveville Road in the area of Trademan Lane in Mechanicsville on a white Chevrolet for a routine traffic violation. Contact was made with the driver, Kyle Ryan McCraney, 22, of St. Leonard. A routine NCIC check revealed MSP Prince Frederick had an outstanding Arrest Warrant (T3-13038) for Mr. McCraney. He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where the warrant was served on him. The original charges were Failing to Remain at the scene of a Property Damage Accident, Driving on a Suspended License and other traffic related offenses. Mr. McCraney was held at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he is being detained pending his initial appearance before the court.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Thursday, July 16 at 4:27 am, Tpr. B. Wiesemann and Tpr. N. E. Gresko were patrolling the area of Patuxent Homes in Lexington Park when they observed a white male lying on the ground at the intersection of North Essex Drive and Ranger Road. The male subject appeared to be unconscious and Tpr. Wiesemann checked him and the subject got up. He was identified Joshua Phil Spaulding, 29, of Lexington Park and was found to be in possession of a small plastic baggie of Marijuana. He was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged with accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, July 16 at 8:58 pm, William Thomas Parks III, 23, of Lexington Park was arrested on an outstanding Arrest Warrant (T3-14008) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on June 27. The original charges were Theft over $500.00 and False Statement to an Officer. Mr. Parks was taken into custody in the area of 46000 block of West Westbury Blvd. in Lexington Park. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he is being held pending his appearance before the court.

ASSAULT AND DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Friday, July 17 at 5:25 pm, TFC D. S. Brill and TFC J. G. Fleetwood responded to the 41000 block of Norris Street in Leonardtown for the reported Disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 45, of Leonardtown. She advised her 14 year old juvenile son was yelling obscenities and was out of control. As TFC Fleetwood was going to detain the juvenile he struck TFC Fleetwood in the midsection. The juvenile was arrested for Assault 2nd Degree and Disorderly Conduct. The juvenile was transported to the Leonardtown Barrack for processing and later released to his mother pending further action by Juvenile Services.

THEFT UNDER $100: On Sunday, July 19 at 7:30 pm, TFC J. R. Stern responded to the St. Mary's Cursing Center in Leonardtown for the reported theft under $100.00. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 38, of Lusby, who advise she went to work on Saturday at the St. Mary's Nursing Center and sometime between 11:00 am and 2:45 pm unknown suspect(s) took the complainant's wallet containing $8.00 and her Maryland Driver's License and other assorted cards. The investigation continues.
