Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (July 13, 2009) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

CDS VIOLATION: On July 9 at 6:10 p.m. Cpl. Michael Bomgardner conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on at Md. Rt. 2 and Mt. Harmony Road in Owings. The driver, later identified as Paul Douglas Wojciechowski, 45 of Crownsville, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a makeshift smoking device.

BURGLARY: Unknown suspect(s) attempted to steal a generator from a shed behind a home on Plum Point Road in Huntingtown overnight between July 9 and 10. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt. Craig Bowen at 410-535-2800.

CDS VIOLATION: Dep. James Norton conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on July 9 at 12:12 p.m. on southbound Md. Rt. 4 at Dowell Road in Solomons. The driver, later identified as Steven Richard Davis, Jr., 20 of Lusby, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, baggies and a straw.

THEFT: A Mongoose 26 inch bicycle, green and black in color, valued at $200 was stolen from the driveway of a home on Pawnee Lane in Lusby sometime on July 9. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC Aaron Locke at 410-535-2800.

CDS VIOLATION: On July 9 at 7:09 p.m. in the area of 8th Street and Bay Ave in North Beach, DFC Brianne Gray arrested the driver of a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation for possession of marijuana and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a smoking device used to inhale marijuana.

CDS VIOLATION: Cpl. Vladimir Bortchevsky responded to the parking lot of the Domino's Pizza in Lusby for a disorderly call on July 9 at 11:00 p.m. He subsequently arrested Michael Jay Straughan, 25 of Hollywood, and charged him with possession of marijuana and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a glass smoking device. Shannon Marie Seals, 23 of Lusby, was charged with disorderly conduct and failure to obey a law enforcement officer.

BURGLARY: Unknown suspect(s) broke into the Frying Pan Restaurant in Lusby overnight between July 10 and 11. A small amount of damage was done but nothing appeared to have been taken. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det./Sgt. Mike Moore of the C.I.T. at 410-535-2800 ext. 2454.

CDS/WEAPON VIOLATIONS: After stopping a suspicious vehicle in the area of the Tiki Bar in Solomons on July 10 at 2:28 a.m., Dep. James Morgan found the driver to be in possession of suspected cocaine, Oxycodone and a handgun. He arrested Adam Shane Coursey, 32 of Lusby and charged him with possession of cocaine in sufficient quantity to indicate an intent to distribute, possession of Oxycodone in sufficient quantity to indicate an intent to distribute and carrying a concealed handgun.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On July 11 at 11:20 p.m. Deputy Vaughn Evans arrested 39-year-old William Justin Gray of Prince Frederick and charged him with disorderly conduct after Gray refused to leave a home on Mason Road in Prince Frederick and became loud and belligerent. Gray was repeatedly asked to quiet down and leave the scene. When he would not, he was taken into custody.
