MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (June 18, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, June 11 at 1:21 pm, John Richard Gregory, 51, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. M. Koock on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13985) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on June 5, 2009. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License. Mr. Gregory was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, June 12 at 1:40 am, Robert D. McCarson, 21, of California was arrested by TFC M. Grimes on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13781) for Failing to Follow Condition of Probation/Unregistered Shotgun. Mr. McCarson was taken into custody as a result of a Search Warrant on Midway Drive in Lexington Park. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

BURGLARY: On Monday, June 15 at 10:39 pm, Tpr. J. Hardesty responded to the 46000 block of Hilton Drive for the reported attempted burglary. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 29, of Lexington Park who advised he heard a loud noise outside his apartment and when he went outside to investigate he observed two unknown males, dressed in black long sleeve shirts and black pants. The two males fled the area on foot and into the woods on Willows Road area across from the apartments. A bedroom window was broken out and maintenance personnel responded and secured the window. The investigation continues.

THEFT OVER $500: On Tuesday, June 16 at 8:49 am, Tpr. J. Hardesty responded to the 17000 block of Three Notch Road in Dameron for the reported theft over $500.00. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 53, of St. Inigoes. He advised an unknown white male, between the ages 25 - 35, medium built took a 2009 John Deere Lawn mower, model Z840/60. The lawn mower is green in color and valued at $9,920.00. After reviewing the surveillance tapes, it was determined that the theft took place on Saturday, May 30, 2009 between the hours of 12:00 pm and 12:15 pm. The lawn mower has been entered in NCIC and the investigation continues.
