Personnel Changes in St. Mary's Public Schools


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (June 16, 2009) - The St. Mary's County Board of Education approved several personnel changes at its meeting of June 10.

The Board appointed Ms. Victoria Mayle to the position of purchasing officer in the Department of Fiscal Services. Ms. Mayle currently serves as a purchasing analyst with the Charles County Public School System. Her experience also includes serving as a capital programs manager, project administration specialist, and administrative secretary. Ms. Mayle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in management studies from the University of Maryland University College and an Associates of Applied Science degree in management development from Charles County Community College. Her appointment becomes effective July 1, 2009.

In addition to this appointment, the following transfers were announced:

-- Mr. John Jones, a 12-month assistant principal at Chopticon High School, will transfer to the position of 11-month assistant principal at Great Mills High School.

-- Ms. Deborah Conrad, a 12-month assistant principal at Leonardtown High School, will transfer to the position of 12-month assistant principal at Chopticon High School.

These transfers become effective July 1, 2009.
