LEONARDTOWN, Md. (June 15, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, June 5 at 4:10 pm, Frederick Douglas Milburn, 49, of Leonardtown was arrested by Tpr. M. Pitcher on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13974) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on May 29, 2009. There were numerous traffic related charges on the warrant. Mr. Milburn was taken into custody at his residence and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, June 5 at 7:24 pm, Maricris Arguez Shaw, 35, of Tavares, FL was served three outstanding Arrest Warrants (T3-13827) and (T3-13948), both for Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Additionally, (T3-13866) was issued by the District Court in Leonardtown for six counts of Bad Checks in the amount of $8,450.00 and two counts of Forgery. Ms. Shaw was apprehended in Tavares, FL on unrelated charges and was extradited back to Leonardtown where she is incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she is being held pending her court appearance. The warrants were served by Tpr. G. Thompson and Tpr. M. Pitcher.
ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: On Thursday, June 11 at 11:10 am, Tpr. G. Thompson responded to the 22000 block of Coltons Point Road in Bushwood for the reported attempted Burglary to a occupied residence. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 43, of Bushwood who advised at approximately 2:30 am that morning a loud noise was heard outside the residence. A check was conducted and no entry was made to the residence, however, a screen was raised in the window frame. Neighborhood checks were conducted with negative results. The investigation is continuing.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, June 12 at 7:00 am, Carl William Williamson, Jr., 33, of Hollywood was arrested by Tpr. E. Page on an outstanding Arrest Warrant (T3-13988) issued by District Court in Leonardtown on June 8, 2009. The original charges were traffic related and Mr. Williamson was incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, June 12 at 3:30 pm, Joseph William Medley, 25, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC D. Brill on an outstanding Circuit Court Warrant (T3-13872) issued in Leonardtown on March 20, 2009. The warrant was issued as a result of Violation of Probation for Burglary. Mr. Medley was served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. A second warrant (T3-13873) was also served on Mr. Medley at the St. Mary's County Detention Center. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, June 12 at 4:24 pm, Tpr. M. Koock responded to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and served an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-12544) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on November 30, 2006. Robert Gordon Silesky, 46, of Newburg was apprehended in Anne Arundel County on May 20, 2009 on unrelated charges. He was transferred to St. Mary's County where he was being held on Prescription Fraud charges.
ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Friday, June 12 at 10:56 pm, TFC J. Fleetwood and Tpr. B. Wiesemann were traveling south bound Point Lookout Road in the area of Chaptico Road in Mechanicsville when an oncoming orange Chevrolet Corvette crossed the double line almost striking TFC Fleetwood's marked MSP unit. TFC Fleetwood made a u-turn and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. Upon contact with the driver, Mr. George Bruthiewicz, 49, of Mechanicsville, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath. Mr. Bruthiewicz was injured prior to the traffic stop. He was subsequently arrested for DUI. He was transported to St. Mary's Hospital to be checked for his prior injuries. While at St. Mary's Hospital, Mr. Bruthiewicz became unruly and assaulted a hospital security officer while being restrained. Mr. Bruthiewicz was subdued and checked out for his injuries. He was later transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged with DUI, Assault 2nd Degree and numerous traffic offenses. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
TRESPASSING AND DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Friday, June 12 at 11:30 pm, Austin Gabriel Burnopp, 26, of Severn was observed being disorderly and fell from the stands at the Budds Creek race track in Mechanicsville. Security officer approached Mr. Burnopp and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from Mr. Burnopp's breath. He was instructed to leave the grounds because of his disorderly actions. Moments later, Mr. Burnopp was observed attempting to re-enter the grounds and was causing a disturbance. He was taken into custody by the security officer until Tpr. E. Page arrived at the scene and placed Mr. Burnopp under arrest. Mr. Burnopp was then transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, June 12 at 11:45 pm, John William Young, 33, of Pomfret was arrested by Tpr. N. Gresko on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13968) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on May 26, 2009. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License. Mr. Young was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he is being held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, June 13 at 2:55 pm, Robert Jacob Eberle, Jr., 20, of No Fixed Address was arrested by TFC M. Grimes on an Arrest Warrant issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on June 12, 2009. The original charges are Burglary 2nd Degree, Malicious Destruction of Property, Theft over $500.00 and 4th Degree Sex Offense. Mr. Eberle was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
RESISTING ARREST: On Sunday, June 14 at 2:07 am, TFC M. Adams initiated a traffic stop on Three Notch Road at Mohawk Drive in Charlotte Hall on a black Dodge Ram for an equipment violation. Upon contact with the driver, Anthony Jerome Holt, 49, of Charlotte Hall an odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath. Standardized field sobriety exercises were conducted unsatisfactorily, Mr. Holt was advised he was under arrest for DUI. He began to resist arrest. Mr. Holt was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
