WASHINGTON (June 8, 2009) - The C-SPAN Civics Bus is on the road to St. Mary's County. The 45-foot mobile production studio and demonstration center will travel to the Leonardtown and Lexington Park Branch Libraries to share C-SPAN's education and civic resources. The bus will be open for tours to the public. MetroCast and the St. Mary's County Library are hosting the visit.
The bus will be at the following locations on Tuesday, June 16, 2009:

Everyone is invited to tour the bus to learn about C-SPAN and its many resources. With a new exterior design and interior that features the latest television production equipment, the C-SPAN Civics Bus displays the network's education website, C-SPAN Classroom (www.c-spanclassroom.org), a free membership service for educators with downloadable video clips; the C-SPAN Video library (www.c-spanarchives.org ); and C-SPAN's television coverage of the new administration.
