PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (May 28, 2009) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: The Maryland State Police VIPS program "Volunteers In Police Service" is currently seeking volunteers to assist the Prince Frederick Barrack with daily activities. VIPS are volunteers who work at the Maryland State Police barracks performing a wide range of duties. VIPS perform a wide range of valuable duties including, fingerprinting citizens for background checks, processing and filing paperwork, and other miscellaneous jobs. This program is ideal for retirees or anyone else looking to spend their valuable time helping their community. THEFT OF MOTORCYCLE: On Mary 12, 2009 at 2:55 p.m., Trooper First Class Lass responded to the 900 block of Calvert Beach Rd. for a reported theft. The victim secured a 2000 Honda XR100R motorcycle and red helmet to a tree in the yard. Upon returning to the home later in the day, the tree had been cut down and the motorcycle was missing. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On May 12, 2009 at 7:30 p.m., Trooper First Class Johns responded to the 3100 block of Mallory Square, Port Republic, for a reported destruction of property. A Chevrolet S-10 pick up truck was damaged while parked in the commuter parking lot at Cross Roads Church on Ball Road. POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On May 15, 2009 at 6:20 p.m., Trooper Lewis stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Route 260 at Route 4 in Dunkirk. Both marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle. The driver, Timothy B. Blackwell, 32 of North Beach, and passenger, Tommy J. Burgess, 47 of North Beach were arrested and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF MOTOR VEHICLE: On May 16, 2009 at 4:35 a.m., Trooper Saucerman responded to the 400 block of Cox Road in Huntingtown for a report of an unauthorized use of Motor vehicle. Investigation revealed Daniel Coulson, 24 of Huntingtown, had taken the vehicle. He had returned the vehicle later the same day. He was arrested and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
THEFT OF MAILBOX: On May 16, 2009 at 12:44 p.m., Trooper Lewis responded to the 5000 block of Hardesty Rd., Sunderland, for a reported theft of a mailbox. The complainant reported his mailbox and post were missing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at 410-535-1400.
BURGLARY: On May 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., Trooper West responded to the 3700 block of Yellow Bank Road in Dunkirk, for a reported burglary. Suspects entered the home and stole copper piping. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at 410-535-1400.
