Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (May 28, 2009) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office recently released the following incident and arrest reports.

HOME INVASION: On May 7 at approximately 12:20 a.m. an unknown black male forced his way into the residence of a 90 year-old victim on Harvest Lane in Huntingtown. The suspect pushed the victim and demanded money. The suspect stated that he possessed a gun and ordered the victim to comply with his demands. The victim surrendered a quantity of US currency and the suspect fled. The victim was not injured.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: Unknown suspect(s) removed a Cobra radar detector valued at $100 from an unlocked vehicle parked outside a home on Woodland Court in Chesapeake Beach. DFC David Gatton investigated the theft that occurred sometime between 11:00 p.m. on May 18 and early the following morning.

BURGLARY: DFC Kevin Hall investigated a burglary at Abner's Crab House in Chesapeake Beach. Unknown suspect(s) stole 2 Honda pressure washers, valued at $8000, between May 23 and 24. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC Hall at 410-535-2800.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: Dep. Aundrea Lawton conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Bay Avenue and 3rd Street in North Beach on May 24 at 6:37 p.m. She subsequently arrested the driver, identified as Kenneth Alonzo Tucker, Jr., 23 of Temple Hills, and charged him with possession of marijuana and use of drug paraphernalia, 3 small envelopes used to package or contain marijuana.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: F/Sgt. Matthew McDonough investigated a call from a victim on Dayton Ave in North Beach who advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen over $2700 worth of tools from his truck. The theft occurred between May 24 and 26. Two Hilti concrete drills and a DeWalt Sawzall were stolen. Anyone with information is asked to contact F/Sgt. McDonough at 410-535-2800.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: DFC John Harms charged a 17-year-old female from Lusby with possession of marijuana after he investigated a car parked in the Lusby Commons shopping center after hours on May 26 at 11:52 p.m. The juvenile was charged on a youth report and released to a parent.

BURGLARY: Sometime between May 26 at 11:30 a.m. and May 27 at 10:30 a.m. unknown suspect(s) broke into a shed and the crawl space of a home on Warbonnet Trail in Lusby. Dep. James Morgan was advised by the victim that approximately $1500 in items had been stolen to include a Poulan chainsaw, a Rigid chainsaw and a Black and Decker hedge trimmer.
