LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 26, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 10:45 am, John Robert Deshazo, 56, of Lexington Park was arrested by Cpl. S. Bennett on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13959) for Failing to Appear in District Court on May 19, 2009. The original charges were traffic related. Mr. Deshazo turned himself in at the Leonardtown Barrack and he was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 5:55 pm, James Alfred Forsyth, 46, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. E. Page on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13949) for Failing to Follow Condition of Probation / DWI. Mr. Forsyth was taken into custody at his residence in Mechanicsville and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DRUG ARREST: On Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 10:45 pm, Corey Brian Washington, 20, of Hollywood was arrested by Tpr. N. Gresko for possession of Marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. Mr. Washington was operating a silver Oldsmobile Intrigue on Laurel Glen Road in California when he was stopped for an equipment violation. Tpr. N. Gresko made contact with Mr. Washington and a strong odor of burnt Marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Mr. Washington was found to be in possession of a baggie of Marijuana and a clear cigar container containing burnt Marijuana. Mr. Washington was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, May 22, 2009 at 8:00 am, Matthew Scott Wentz, 23, of Hollywood was arrested by TFC E. Evans on an outstanding Circuit Court Grand Jury Indictment (T3-13947) issued on May 11, 2009. The original charge is Con-Theft over $500.00. Mr. Wentz was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending his court appearance.
THEFT OVER $500: On Friday, May 22, 2009 at 4:28 pm, TFC M. Adams responded to the Lexington Park Library for the reported Theft of a Bicycle. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 46, of Leonardtown. He advised he arrived at the Library at 6:40 pm and put his bicycle in the bike rack. When he returned 15 minutes later the bicycle was missing. The bicycle was described as a Trek Mountain bicycle, 24 speed and 23" frame. The bicycle had a new front tire and click peddles requiring special shoes. Estimated value of the Trek bicycle is $600.00. The investigation continues.
DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 2:19 am, Jeanette Barbara Kaminski, 28, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton for possession of CDS - not Marijuana. Ms. Kaminski was operating a blue Chevrolet Aveo on Mechanicsville exceeding the posted speed limit when she was stopped at Moose Lane in Mechanicsville. Upon contact with Ms. Kaminski, Tpr. Pilkerton detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath. Ms. Kaminski was subsequently arrested for BDI. A search incident to the arrest revealed she was in possession of a prescription medication not prescribed to her. Ms. Kaminski was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 3:20 am, Kevalyeh Fontell West, 22, of Great Mills was arrested by TFC J. Stern for possession of Marijuana. Mr. West was operating a gold Infiniti I30 on south bound Three Notch Road when he was stopped at Buck Hewitt Road in Lexington Park for an equipment violation. Mr. West was found to be in possession of a clear plastic baggie with Marijuana. Mr. West was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 10:00 pm, Richard Earl Stone Jr., 38, of Compton was arrested by TFC M. Moore on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13576) for Failing to Follow Condition of Probation (DWI). Mr. Stone was taken into custody at a residence off Clark Road in California and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 10:42 am, Christopher Bryan Clawsen, 24, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC E. Evans on an outstanding Grand Jury Indictment (T3-13944) issued on May 11, 2009. The original charge was Con-Theft over $500.00. Mr. Clawsen was taken into custody at his residence and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending his court appearance.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Sunday, May 24, 2009 at 2:50 am, Franklin Douglas Blevins Jr., 43, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. M. Koock on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13804) for Failing to Appear in District Court on January 30, 2009. The original charge was Driving a Motor Vehicle while Driving Privileges are Suspended and Revoked. Mr. Blevins was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Sunday, May 24, 2009 at 9:10 pm, Sarah Elizabeth Berry, 20, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC M. Moore on an outstanding Circuit Court Grand Jury Indictment (T3-13901) issued on April 14, 2009. The original charge is Con-Theft over $500.00. Ms. Berry was located at an address on Midway Drive in Lexington Park and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending her court appearance.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Sunday, May 24, 2009 at 8:37 pm, Jay Hamilton Wilkins, 36, of Lusby was arrested by Cpl. J. Linger on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13960) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on May 19, 2009. The original charge was Driving While Impaired by Alcohol. Mr. Wilkins was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
