Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Dec. 31, 2008) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office on Monday released the following incident and arrest reports.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: Unknown suspect(s) attempted to gain entry to a home on Durango Drive in Lusby on December 22 between 2:30 and 2:45 a.m. The would-be-burglars were unsuccessful in their attempt. DFC Aaron Locke is investigating.

BURGLARY: A Sony Vaio laptop computer worth $1300 was stolen from inside a home on December 23 between 11:20 a.m. and 12:35 p.m. Dep. Roscoe Kreps is investigating the burglary.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE: A 2006 silver Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from in front of a home on F Street in Chesapeake Beach on December 24 at around 7:00 in the morning. Anyone with information concerning this theft is asked to contact Lt. Steven Jones of the Criminal Investigative Team at 410-535-1600 on extension 2462.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: A TomTom GPS valued at $250 was stolen from inside an unlocked vehicle that was parked in front of a home on Ontario Court in Owings. The theft occurred sometime on Christmas day. DFC Peter Aurich is investigating.

THEFT: Unknown suspect(s) stole a 2004 Avon West Marine boat valued at $2500 from a dock outside a residence on Chart Court in Lusby sometime between December 10 and 27. The boat is gray in color and measures 10 feet. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC Mark Robshaw at 410-535-2800.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On December 26 at 11:55 p.m., Cpl. Richard Wilson arrested four occupants of a vehicle in the parking lot of the Greene Turtle in Prince Frederick for possession of drugs and use of drug paraphernalia. Keith M. Odell, 21, of Huntingtown, Richard J. Frazier, 22, of Prince Frederick, Joshua A. Lutz, 21, of Prince Frederick and Ryan D. Johnson, 24, of Wilmington, NC, were all arrested and charged with possession of a schedule II drug, Oxycontin, and use of drug paraphernalia, a metal hose clamp used to grind pills into powder form.

BURGLARY: A home on 16th Street in Chesapeake Beach was burglarized between December 25 and 27. The unknown suspect(s) stole more than $3000 in property. Anyone with information concerning this burglary is asked to contact Lt. Steven Jones at 410-535-1600 on extension 2462.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: Unknown suspect(s) attempted entry into the Calvert-Anne Arundel Pharmacy at 15 Chesapeake Beach Road East in Owings on December 27 at 2:15 a.m. Information and inquiries can be direct to Lt. Steven Jones at 410-535-1600 on extension 2462.

DOP: Unknown suspect(s) caused $775 in damage to a vehicle when they spray painted it while it was parked in front of a home between December 27 and 28. DFC Christopher Childress is investigating the vandalism.
