MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Dec. 22, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

BURGLARY: On Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 10:01 am, Tpr. C. Evans responded to the Discount Liquors at 21698 Great Mills Road in Lexington Park for the reported 2nd degree burglary. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 50, of Lexington Park who advised unknown suspect(s) broke the glass to the rear door and gained entry to the store. The complainant further advised the suspect(s) stole a 22" Samsung flat panel television and remote. The television was black in color and the value is $429.00. Information pertaining to the suspects was unavailable at this time and the investigation continues.

ASSAULT: On Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 5:27 pm, Mary Agnes Morgan, 38, of Great Mills was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton for 2nd degree assault. Tpr. J. Pilkerton responded to the 46000 block of Flower Drive in Lexington Park for the reported disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 46, of Lexington Park and advised she was assaulted by Ms. Morgan. After interviewing all parties involved, Ms. Morgan was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

CHECK WELFARE, DUI: On Sunday, December 21, 2008 at 1:10 am, Tpr. N. Gresko responded to the area of Three Notch Road in California for the reported check welfare of a possible shooting victim. A 911 broadcast was made for a silver Toyota Camry on Three Notch Road in the area of the K-Mart Store in California. The caller was advising he had been shot and was trying to get away from the suspect vehicle. Tpr. Gresko following the information from the 911 broadcasts located a silver Toyota Camry in the parking lot of the K-Mart store off Old Rolling Road. Contact was made with the operator, Tuan Hoang Ngo, 26, of Lusby and the odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath. There was no evidence that Mr. Ngo was shot and no damage to the vehicle Mr. Ngo was operating. Mr. Ngo was subsequently arrested for DUI and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

BENCH WARRANT: On Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 8:15 pm, Jawaan Montell Carroll, 22, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. J. Hardesty on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13668). The original charges were Driving on a Suspended License and Fleeing and Eluding a Police Officer in a motor vehicle. Mr. Carroll was served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center without incident.

WARRANT ARREST: On Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 12:35 am, Antonio Pierre Harrod, 45, Lusby was arrested by Cpl. A. Malaspina on an Arrest Warrant (T3-13757) issued by the District Court in La Plata on December 12, 2008. The original charge on the warrant was Violation of Ex-Parte / Protective Order. Cpl. Malaspina observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville. Contact was made with the operator, Mr. Harrod and a routine NCIC check was made which revealed Mr. Harrod was wanted by the Charles County Sheriff's Office in La Plata for Violation of Protective Order. Mr. Harrod was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT ARREST: On Sunday, December 21, 2008 at 8:54 am, Jeffrey Leland Burtis, 20, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. C. Evans on an outstanding True Bill Indictment warrant (T3-13753) issued by the Circuit Court on December 18, 2008. The original charge was a weapons violation. Mr. Burtis was taken into custody at his residence in Lexington Park and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
