Indian Head Woman Perishes in Single Car Accident


LA PLATA, Md. (Dec. 21, 2008)—An Indian Head woman is dead after a single car accident Thursday morning. Pamela Yvette Brooks, 52, passed away on Friday morning at 8:51 a.m. at Washington Hospital Center due to the injuries she received in the collision.

Ms. Brooks was traveling eastbound on MD Route 225 east of Miller Hill Road in her 1996 Honda Accord around 9:19 a.m. when, due to unknown circumstances, she lost control of her vehicle, traveled off the roadway, and struck a tree, according to Maryland State Police.

Ms. Brooks was initially transported to Civista medical center via ambulance.

Weather and speed are being considered as factors in this collision, say police.

The accident is being investigated by TPR. T. Scott of the La Plata barrack.
