St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Dec. 15, 2008) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ARMED ROBBERY: On Friday, Dec. 12 at approximately 9:32 p.m., St. Mary's County Sheriff's Deputies and Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack responded to a reported assault and armed robbery at 46363 Columbus Dr., Lexington Park. During their investigation three suspects were developed and located in the area of the incident. BCI detectives were notified and assumed the investigation. A search warrant was conducted at a residence in Lexington Park and additional evidence was recovered. Detectives charged Timothy Ignatius Brooks, 18, Cedric Francis Dyer, 25, and Jamesha Rasham Pixley, 20, with Armed Robbery, 2nd Degree Assault and Theft under $500.00. They were incarcerated at the St. Mary's County Detention Center.

TRAINING EXERCISE, THURSDAY, DEC. 18: On Thursday, December 18, 2008 from 7:30 am through 2:00 pm the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office, in cooperation with the Maryland State Police, College of Southern Maryland Campus Security and the St. Mary's County Department of Public Safety will be conducting a tactical training exercise at the Community College of Southern Maryland, Leonardtown Campus. The Community College campus will be closed to the public and sign boards will be posted announcing the training exercise.

Sheriff Timothy Cameron requested the public be notified of the training exercise so as not to cause any undue concern. Numerous police officers as well as some rescue personnel will be participating in the exercise. The training exercise is not expected to disrupt traffic in the Leonardtown area.
