Charles County Sheriff's Reports


LA PLATA, Md. (Nov. 20, 2008) - The Charles County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.

BURGLARY: On Nov. 18 at 11:34 a.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to the 8700 block of Grassland Court in Waldorf for the report of a burglary. Investigation revealed unknown suspects broke into the house by breaking out the window of the sliding glass door but fled prior to obtaining anything. Officer S. Duley is investigating.

BURGLARY: On Nov. 18 at 3 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to the 4000 block of Spring Valley Drive for the report of a burglary. Investigation revealed sometime between Nov. 17 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 18 at 3 p.m., an unknown suspect forced entry into the victim's residence, which is currently being renovated, and stole commercial grade appliances, cabinets, and construction tools. Based on the size of the appliances, the suspects likely used a large truck or trailer to remove the stolen goods.
