(Nov. 18, 2008) - George Wayne Armiger, 31, of Lexington Park, was arrested this week and charged with selling illegal drugs. The arrest was made after police executed search and seizure warrants on Armiger's vehicle and Lexington Park home. Police allege Armiger has been selling drugs between St. Mary's and Calvert County.

More than $1,000 in marijuana, $1,000 in cocaine, packaging material, a digital scale, and more than $2,500 in cash were recovered from the residence, say police. Police allege the marijuana and cocaine were "packaged in a manner that was consistent with being ready for sale."

Armiger's 2001 Honda Accord was also seized and police say State's Attorney Richard D. Fritz will be filing for forfeiture.

The raid on Armiger's residence was conducted by Bureau of Criminal Investigations Vice Narcotics detectives, BCI criminal detectives, and detectives from the Calvert Investigative Team.

Additional charges are pending a full State's Attorney's Office review.
