St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Nov. 13, 2008) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

TRESPASSING: On November 11, 2008 at approximately 11 p.m., Deputy K. Nelson responded to the Food Lion on Mt. Wolf Road in Charlotte Hall for a report of a trespassing. Upon arrival Deputy Nelson observed Rodney Cleveland Phillips, 50, of Hughesville, sleeping on the ground behind the shopping carts. The manager of Food Lion had asked Mr. Phillips to leave the property numerous times because he (Phillips) was harassing customers. Deputy Nelson contacted Rodney Phillips and asked him to leave. Mr. Phillips cursed at Deputy Nelson and refused. Mr. Phillips was arrested for trespassing.

TRESPASSING: On November 11, 2008 Senior Deputy First Class R. Russell observed Rose Marie Briscoe, 45, of no fixed address, exiting a wooded area on S. Coral Drive in Lexington Park. The property is clearly marked "no trespassing." Ms. Briscoe was arrested for trespassing.

THEFT, DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On November 12, 2008 Senior Deputy First Class D. Corcoran responded Giant Grocery Store in California for a report of a theft. Investigation employees of the Giant observed Marc Terrence Brown, 35, of no fixed address, open several packages of crackers in the food aisle. Mr. Brown was in possession of a plastic bag containing a sleeve of crackers. Mr. Brown did not have a receipt to show he purchased the crackers. Marc Brown was arrested and charged with theft and destruction of property.
