LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Nov. 13, 2008) - The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) today released the following incident and arrest reports. BCI is an investigative team comprised of detectives from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack. The unit was established on July 1, 2003 and is based in Leonardtown, Maryland.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: On November 12 at approximately 12 a.m., a black male, in his twenties, approximately 5'2", 140 pounds, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and a black scarf over his face, entered the Shopper's Food Warehouse in San Souci Plaza. He approached a store teller and displayed a handgun while demanding money. The teller ran to the rear of the store and the suspect fled back out of the establishment.
