Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Nov. 10, 2008) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: Dep. James Norton investigated a theft call at a home on King Drive in Dunkirk. The homeowner stated that unknown suspect(s) stole items from his shed sometime between October 26 and November 2. The amount of the theft is over $6000 and includes a McCulloch backpack leaf blower, a John Deere tractor, a MID wood chipper, and a John Deere lawn kart, along with many other items. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Norton at 410-535-2800.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: Dep. Ian Umphrey conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Md. Rt. 231 near Prince Frederick Blvd. on November 2 at 9:18 p.m. The occupants of the vehicle were found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Dep. Umphrey arrested Timothy Avant, 20 of Prince Frederick, Lisa Marie Mister, 18 of Huntingtown, a 14-year-old male of Prince Frederick and a 17-year-old male also of Prince Frederick and charged each of them with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Monster Energy Drink can with a hidden compartment used to store marijuana. The two juveniles were charged on youth reports and released to a parent.

DOP: A homeowner on 26th Street in Chesapeake Beach advised Dep. Daniel Deakins that unknown suspect(s) caused $350 in damage when they broke the glass out of the window next to his front door during the early morning hours of November 4. Dep. Deakins will continue the investigation.

STOLEN VEHICLE: A victim advised Dep. Andre Mitchell that unknown suspect(s) had stolen her 1997 green Honda Accord LX from her driveway on Jones Road in Dunkirk on November 6 at 2:12 a.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Mitchell at 410-535-2800.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: Dep. Robert Traas conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of 14th Street and Md. Rt. 261 in Chesapeake Beach on November 7 at 2:57 p.m. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Thomas Keith Ramberg, 40 of Chesapeake Beach, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a red metal pipe.
