MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Nov. 3, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

LICENSE PLATE THEFT: On Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 8:26 am, Tpr. E. Page responded to the 30000 block of Three Notch Road in Charlotte Hall for the reported Theft under $100. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 58, of Mechanicsville. He advised between October 27 and October 30, unknown suspect(s) removed the rear license plate, Maryland registration, 29W312 from a 1996 Ford Ranger. The investigation continues.

THEFT: On Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 1:44 pm, TFC R. Rezza responded to the Food Lion store at 45315 Alton Lane in California for the reported theft under $100. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female store employee, who advised Denise Lachelle Williams, 40, of Lexington Park was observed stealing items from the store and left the store. TFC Rezza observed the suspect at Cheseldine Tire Center at Miramar Way just south of the Food Lion. Contact was made with Ms. Williams. Employees also responded and positively identified Ms. Williams as the suspect. Ms. Williams was taken into custody for theft under $100 and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. Once at the Detention Center, Ms. Williams had in her possession a wallet not belonging to her. The wallet was previously reported stolen to the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office. Ms. Williams also had open warrants on file through the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office. She was issued a no trespass notice for the Food Lion in California. She was charged accordingly and held at the St. Mary's County Detention Center.

DUI/DWI, RESISTING ARREST: On Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 1:51 am, Anthony Keith Noll, 26, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. M. Adams for DUI/DWI and resisting arrest. Mr. Noll was operating a red Nissan Maxima south bound Three Notch Road in Hollywood, when he was stopped at Rescue Lane for routine traffic violations. Contact was made with Mr. Noll and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath. Mr. Noll was uncooperative during the arrest. He was taken into custody and transported to the Leonardtown Barrack for processing and later taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

DWI/DUI: On Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 2:03 am, Geoffrey Daryl Daniels, Jr., 25, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. J. Gibson for possession of marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Mr. Daniels was operating a silver Nissan 300ZX east bound Park Hall Road in Park Hall, when he was stopped for an equipment violation. During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. Daniels was arrested for DWI/DUI. A search incident to the arrest revealed a wooden multi colored CDS smoking device in the vehicle. Mr. Daniels was transported to the Leonardtown Barrack where he was processed for the DWI/DUI. He was issued a Criminal Citation for possession of the CDS smoking device and released to a sober adult.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 2:20 am, Stanley Oleefe Campbell, Jr., 30, and Michael Anthony Dominguez 2nd, 22, both of Falls Church, Dre Martina Roberts, 25, of McLean were arrested by Tpr. N. Gresko for Possession With Intent to Distribute. Mr. Campbell was operating a gold 2002 Cadillac Escalade on north bound Three Notch Road north of Hollywood Road in Hollywood, when he was stopped for an equipment violation and expired registration plates. Contact was made with the driver, Mr. Campbell and a strong distinct odor of marijuana was emanating from the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, the following items were seized: 332.20 grams of Hashish, 27 grams of Marijuana, 116 grams of Hashish oil, $10,021.72 in U.S. Currency, various pieces of CDS paraphernalia and a 2002 gold Cadillac Escalade. All subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where they were charged accordingly and held pending a bond review.

DOP: On Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 8:18 pm, Tpr. M. Adams responded to the 22000 block of Three Notch Road in Lexington Park for the reported malicious destruction of property to a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 22, of Hollywood. He advised he parked his vehicle at a nearby hotel on October 30, 2008 and when he returned on November 2, 2008, he discovered that unknown suspect(s) and etched obscenities in the paint on his blue 2004 Subaru. The estimated damage is $4,000.00. The investigation continues.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 9:20 am, Richard Gorman Swann, 33, of Piney Point was arrested by TFC R. Rezza on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13613) for failing to appear District Court in Leonardtown on September 5, 2008. The original charge was driving on a suspended license. Another bench warrant (T3-13669) was also served for failing to make deferred payment to District Court in Calvert County. The original charge was possession of marijuana. Mr. Swann was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 1:45 pm, David Louis Owens, 39, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. E. Page on an outstanding bench warrant (T3-13671) for failing to appear in District Court in Leonardtown on October 28, 2008. The original charge was driving on a suspended license. Mr. Owens was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Friday, October 31, 2008 at 5:27 pm, Paul David Atkinson, 42, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. N. Gresko on an outstanding bench warrant (T3-13672) for failing to follow conditions of probation stemming from a previous DUI charge. Mr. Atkinson was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
