Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Nov. 3, 2008) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DOP: Unknown suspect(s) caused $1000 in damage to a 1995 Tahoe on 6th Street in North Beach sometime between October 27 and 29. The victim advised F/Sgt. Matthew McDonough that the back window had been shattered and there were two dents in the tailgate. F/Sgt. McDonough will continue the investigation.

DOP, THEFT FROM VEHICLE: A victim on Gray Inn Court in Prince Frederick advised Dep. Jason Dean that on October 28 at about 10:00 p.m. she heard her car alarm sound. After going outside she found that her vehicle had been broken into. The passenger side front door window had been smashed. Nothing appeared to be missing from inside the vehicle. The damage is estimated at $250. Shortly afterward, Dep. Dean responded to the parking lot of Saphron Restaurant in Prince Frederick and was advised by a victim that unknown suspect(s) had broken out the driver's side front window of his vehicle causing $250 worth of damage. The culprit(s) then stole a Tom Tom GPS valued at $150 and other assorted items valued at $265. Dep. Dean then responded to the parking lot of the OutBack Steakhouse and was advised by a third victim that his vehicle had been broken into as well. An Apple IPOD valued at $200 was missing. Dep. Dean is continuing the investigation.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: Dep. Thomas Rickard conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on October 29 at 9:00 p.m. near the Chevy Chase Bank in Dunkirk. He subsequently found the driver, later identified as Ryan L. Ogle, 25 of Lothian, to be in possession of suspected drugs. He was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of Oxycodone with intent to distribute and possession of Oxycontin with intent to distribute.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: After conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle on Md. Rt. 231 near Sea Gull Beach Road in Prince Frederick on October 29 at 9:40 p.m. DFC Paul Wood found the driver to be in possession of Percocet. He arrested Perry W. Allred, 49 of Danville, VA., and charged him with possession of a schedule II drug, Percocet, and making a false statement to a peace officer.

ATTEMPTED THEFT: A victim on 2nd Street in North Beach reported to Dep. James Norton that at 12:56 a.m. on October 30 he heard his car alarm go off. The victim came out of his residence and observed a male in dark clothing running away from his vehicle toward the North Beach boardwalk. It does not appear that the suspect gained entry into the vehicle. Dep. Norton will continue the investigation.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: Dep. Ian Umphrey found two baggies of marijuana inside a vehicle and arrested the driver, John W. Korsnick III, 20 of St. Leonard, and charged him with possession of marijuana on October 30 at 3:25 a.m. Korsnick had been stopped for a routine traffic violation while traveling northbound on Md. Rt. 4 in the area of Sixes Road in Prince Frederick.

DOP: Unknown suspect(s) damaged a political sign that was on the southbound side of Md. Rt. 4 between Sollers Wharf Road and Rousby Hall Road in Lusby. The damage was discovered on October 30. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cpl. Mike Bomgardner at 410-535-2800.
