LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Oct. 27, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Friday, October 24, 2008 at 2:28 am, Letia Nadine Dennison, 28, of Lusby was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton for possession of marijuana. Ms. Dennison was operating a tan Cadillac on Three Notch Road, south of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park when she was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. Contact was made with Ms. Dennison and an odor of alcohol was emitting from her breath. During the course of the traffic stop, Ms. Dennison was arrested for DUI. A search incident to the arrest revealed she was in possession of a partially burnt marijuana cigarette. Ms. Dennison was transported to the Leonardtown Barrack for processing concerning the DUI arrest, then taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 3:12 pm, William Samuel Carroll, 18, of Ridge and Demetrius Roy Dyson, 18, of Valley Lee were arrested by Cpl. J. Linger for possession of marijuana. Mr. Carroll was operating a brown and white Chevrolet S-10 on St Andrews Church Road, in the area of Indian Bridge Road in California was stopped for not being restrained by his seatbelt and an equipment violation. Contact was made with the occupants and an odor of marijuana was detected. During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. Carroll was found to be in possession of a small plastic baggie of marijuana and Mr. Dyson was in possession of a paperfold of marijuana was found on his person. Both Mr. Carroll and Mr. Dyson were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were detained pending a bond review.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 1:32 am, Kevin Lorenzo Mackall, 21, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton for possession of marijuana and possession of prescription medication not prescribed to him. Mr. Mackall was operating a gray Dodge Ram when he was stopped on Three Notch Road, south of Rue Purchase Road in Lexington Park for an equipment violation. Contact was made with the driver, Kevin Lorenzo Mackall and a routine check of MVA revealed Mr. Mackall's driving license was suspended and revoked. A search incident to the arrest revealed Mr. Mackall was in possession of two baggies of marijuana and one baggie containing one and a half Oxycodone pills. Mr. Mackall was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and detained pending a bond review.
WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:25 am, Jeffrey Keith Reid, 41, of Lexington Park was arrested by Cpl. J. Linger on an outstanding Arrest Warrant (T3-13532) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on July 25, 2008. The original charge on the warrant was theft under $100.00. Mr. Reid was taken into custody as a result of a routine traffic stop on Point Lookout Road and Hollywood Road in Leonardtown.
WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 1930, Clifton C. Pickeral, 26, of Great Mills was arrested by Tpr. E. Page on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13619) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on September 18, 2008. The original charge was for Theft under $100.00. Mr. Pickeral was taken into custody at a residence in the 30000 block of Charlotte Hall School Road in Mechanicsville. A second warrant, an Arrest Warrant (T3-13646) was also served on Mr. Pickeral by Tpr. M. Adams. This warrant was for violation of probation / possession of CDS not marijuana. Mr. Pickeral was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
WARRANT ARREST: On Friday, October 24, 2008 at 1:09 pm, Juinel Lyniece Steward, 18, of Leonardtown was arrested by Tpr. J. Gibson on an outstanding Arrest Warrant (T3-013654) which was issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on October 16, 2008. The original charges were two counts of malicious destruction of property scheme over $500.00. Mr. Steward was taken into custody at a residence in the 41000 block of Norris Circle in Leonardtown. Mr. Steward was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
