WASHINGTON (Oct. 22, 2008) - The U.S. Department of Defense this week announced the following contract award that pertains to local Navy activities.
Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc., McLean, Va., is being awarded a $17,409,817 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for technical and engineering services for communications-electronics advanced technology systems supporting the special communications requirements division of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland. The estimated level of effort for this option is 150,028 man-hours. Work will be performed in Lexington Park, Md. (70 percent) and St. Inigoes, Md. (30 percent), and is expected to be completed in October 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured by electronic solicitation, with three firms solicited and one offer received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md. is the contracting activity (N00421-09-C-0016).
