MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Oct. 16, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 1:45 pm, Tpr. G. Thompson responded to the 38000 block of Beach Road in Colton Point for the reported theft from motor vehicle. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 43, of Colton Point, who advised unknown suspect(s) stole a handheld 800 Mhz scanner, antenna and car charger from a State Highway truck. Total loss is $189.00. The investigation continues.

BURGLARY: On Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 8:57 pm, TFC J. Stern responded to the 22000 block of Great Mills Road in Great Mills for the reported burglary. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 41, of Lexington Park, who advised she went to the office building and observed two windows broken out. A female employee from the office was also contacted who responded to the office and a walk through was conducted. The female employee, 48, of California advised two prescription bottles of medications, 25 Hydrocodone pills and 10 Percocet pills were stolen. The investigation continues.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Monday, October 13, 2008 at 11:50 am, Dawn Marie Kitwell, 41, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. C. Evans for possession of CDS (prescription medication not prescribed to her). Ms. Kitwell was operating a green Chevrolet Camaro on north bound Three Notch Road in Hollywood, in the area of Beck Road when she was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. A routine MVA check revealed Ms. Kitwell's driving privilege is suspended. A routine NCIC Wanted check revealed Ms. Kitwell had an active arrest warrant through the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office. A search incident to the arrest revealed Ms. Kitwell was in possession of one Percocet pill, five Darvocet pills and seven Adderall pills. Ms. Kitwell was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was detained pending service of the arrest warrant and a bond review.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Monday, October 13, 2008 at 9:10 pm, Natasha Elaine Drake, 33, of Clinton was arrested by TFC R. Rezza for possession of marijuana. Ms. Drake was operating a teal Honda Accord on north bound Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville when she was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit at Commerce Park Avenue. A routine NCIC Wanted check revealed Ms. Drake was reported as an endangered missing person through Prince Georges County PD. During the course of the traffic stop, it was confirmed that Ms. Drake was no longer a missing person. Ms. Drake was found to be in possession of a clear plastic baggie of marijuana and she was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was detained pending a bond review.
