Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Sept. 22, 2008) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: Two individuals were observed to be using controlled dangerous substances in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Jasper's Restaurant in Prince Frederick on September 15 at 10:30 p.m. Arrested were Robert R. Douglass, 24, of Port Republic, and Stacia E. Sauer, 28, of Waldorf. Both were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, percocet, by DFC Christopher Childress.

BURGLARY: A victim on Little Tree Lane in Owings reported to Dep. Roscoe Kreps that unknown suspect(s) broke into his storage shed and stole a Husqvarna chainsaw valued at $300. The burglary happened on September 16 between 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Dep. Kreps will continue the investigation.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: DFC Thomas Tilley conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on September 16 at 3:00 p.m. in the area of Md. Rt. 260 and Harrison Blvd. in Chesapeake Beach. The driver, a 17-year-old female of Chesapeake Beach, was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance (heroin), and in possession of drug paraphernalia, a plastic spoon, hypodermic syringe and a shoe lace (used to tie the drug to the spoon). She was charged on a youth report with both offenses and released to a parent. A passenger in the vehicle, 18-year-old Justin David Gegor of Chesapeake Beach, was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia (spoon, syringe, shoe string) and possession of heroin in sufficient quantity to indicate an intent to distribute same.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On September 17 at 1:45 a.m. Dep. Ian Umphrey conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Md. Rt. 260 in the area of R&J Liquors. The driver, later identified as Gina Danielle Schiazzi, 39, of Waldorf, was found to be in possession of a schedule II drug, Percocet, and was arrested and charged. A passenger, Albert Dwayne Moreland, 45, of Lothian, was found to be in possession of a schedule II drug, crack cocaine, and in possession of drug paraphernalia, a piece of copper mesh Brillo pad, used to inhale crack cocaine, and was arrested and charged with both offenses.

THEFT: Dep. David Canning took the report of the theft of $1000 worth of copper piping from a victim on Mt. Harmony Lane in Owings. The theft occurred sometime between September 10 and 17. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Canning at 410-535-2800.

BURGLARY: A victim on Rousby Hall Road in Lusby reported to Dep. Aaron Locke that sometime between September 7 and 19th, unknown suspect(s) stole $1000 worth of copper piping and electric wiring from his home. Dep. Locke will continue the investigation.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: A sixteen-year-old female from Sunderland and a seventeen-year-old female from Chesapeake Beach were both charged on youth reports with possession of marijuana after it was discovered they were allegedly smoking the substance inside a vehicle parked at the Lord Calvert Bowl in Huntingtown on September 19 at 11:51 p.m. Dep. Ian Umphrey charged both girls and released them to a parent.
