Great Mills KFC Robber Flees Empty Handed


LEXINGTON PARK, Md. (Sept. 3, 2008)—The Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park was the scene of a failed armed robbery Wednesday morning. Police say that around 9:15 a.m., a black male approximately 5'9" 180 lbs., 30 to 35 years of age, entered a rear door to the restaurant before it opened, confronted the employees inside with a handgun and demanded money.

Police say the robber fled prior to obtaining any money.
