Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Aug. 25, 2008) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

STOLEN VEHICLE: A dark green 1998 Isuzu Rodeo SUV was stolen from private property located on Md. Rt. 261 near the Naval Research Laboratory in Chesapeake Beach sometime between August 12 and 16. The victim advised that the dark green vehicle, valued at $4500, had a sun roof, a luggage rack, a trailer hitch and a 2004 FOP sticker on the rear window. Various tools worth $500 were inside the vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Roscoe Kreps at 410-535-2800.

BURGLARY: A victim on Adelina Road in Prince Frederick reported to Dep. Jonathan Parsons that when he returned home on August 18 at about 3:30 p.m., he observed an unidentified white male run out of his basement door. Nothing appeared to be missing. Dep. Parsons will continue the investigation.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: Dep. Jonathan Parsons arrested Anthony Michael McClanahan, 22 of Waldorf, and charged him with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia (small baggies used to package controlled dangerous substances) after McClanahan was stopped for a traffic violation on August 19 at 7:06 p.m. on northbound Md. Rt. 2 near Dalrymple Road in Owings.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: DFC John McCarroll conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Lower Marlboro Road near Marlboro Court in Huntingtown on August 21 at 10:13 p.m. The driver, later identified as Holly Marie Noyes, 21 of Cockeysville, was subsequently found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia, a pipe. She was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On August 21 at 5:30 p.m. Dep. Andrew Woodford responded to Friendly Pharmacy in Lusby for the report of a subject attempting to fill a forged prescription. Laura Nicole Hinchman, 20 of Lusby, was arrested and charged with attempting to unlawfully possess a controlled dangerous substance of a schedule II drug (Percocet).

ILLEGAL DRUGS: A man observed attempting to light a suspected smoking device used to inhale cocaine was subsequently arrested after Dep. April Litteral determined that Robert Allen Rice, 42 of Port Republic, was in possession of suspected crack cocaine. Rice was observed standing behind a restaurant in the Calvert Village shopping center on Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick on August 22 at 6:40 p.m. He was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia (a metal pipe).

BURGLARY, THEFT: Unknown suspect(s) stole a Titan Industrial model 8000 Generator worth $1500 from a shed at the Calvert Marina on Dowell Road in Lusby overnight between August 21 and 22. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Vaughn Evans at 410-535-2800.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: After conducting a traffic stop on August 22 at 4:02 p.m. in the area of Md. Rt. 2/4 southbound at Ball Road in St. Leonard, Cpl. Anthony Moschetto found the three occupants of the vehicle to all be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Ashley Nicole Simmons, 22 of Lusby and Bridget Nicole Wesberry, 22 of Port Republic, were both charged with possession of drug paraphernalia (syringes, used to inject a controlled dangerous substance, heroin, into the human body). The third occupant, Elijah James Arneson, 28 of Lusby, was found to be in possession of suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia and was arrested and charged with both offenses.
