PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Aug. 21, 2008) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
BURGLARY: On 8/18/08 @ 4:20 pm, Trooper Saucerman responded to the 12000 block of Abilene Trail, Lusby, MD, for the report of a burglary. Investigation revealed that unknown suspect/s/ broke into the victim's home while they were not home and stole jewelry and a safe. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at (410)535-1400.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 8/17/08 @ 3:08 pm, Trooper Wiersma stopped a vehicle for traffic violations at MD Route 4 and Ball Road. The driver, identified as John Anders Lindstedt, age 24, Falls Church, VA was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. A search revealed that Lindstedt was also in possession of marijuana. He was transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing.
POSSESSION OF COCAINE: On 8/17/08 @ 3:45 am, Trooper Roy stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on MD Route 4 at Armiger Drive. The driver, identified as Lemuel Alonzo Brown, Jr., age 19, Harwood, MD, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. A search revealed that Brown was also in possession of cocaine. Brown was transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing.
BACK TO SCHOOL TRAFFIC: Maryland Motorists are requested to be cautious as children head back to school. The Maryland State Police is requesting that motorists be cognizant of the presence of school buses and other school vehicles. Troopers will be stepping up enforcement of Maryland traffic laws related to school bus safety. Troopers who observe a motorist failing to stop and remain stopped for a school bus can issue the violator a citation which carries a fine of $570.00 and 3 points. Drivers failing to stop for pedestrians in a crosswalk can be issued a citation for $80.00, and drivers failing to exercise caution when encountering children can be issued a citation for $70.00.
