PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Aug. 18, 2008) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: After making contact with the occupants of a vehicle parked in a field off Howes Road in Dunkirk on August 10 at 10:50 p.m., Dep. Thomas Rickard found a 17-year-old juvenile from Owings to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was charged on a youth report and released to a parent.
THEFT: DFC James Smith investigated a theft to a vehicle in the parking lot of the Solomons Holiday Inn on August 10. The victim reported that sometime overnight, unknown suspect(s) broke the window of his vehicle and stole his NavCam GPS valued at $325. DFC Smith is continuing the investigation.
BURGLARY: An unidentified black male entered a home in the 6700 block of Solomons Island Road in Sunderland on August 13 at 8:00 in the morning. Residents of the home scared the suspect off. Nothing was taken and no one was injured. DFC John McCarroll is investigating the incident.
THEFT: DFC David Denton arrested 22-year-old Eric Steven Daury of Prince Frederick and charged him with theft on August 14 at 5:13 p.m. at the Prince Frederick Blockbuster Video. An employee observed Daury stealing movies, valued at $134, and called police.
BURGLARY: A victim on Windcliff Road in Prince Frederick advised DFC David Denton that at about 1:00 p.m. on August 15 she left her home unlocked and went to run an errand that took her only a few minutes. After returning home, she found a white male hiding in the shower area of her bathroom. He advised her that he was trying to find her to request yard work. At that time, she advised the male to leave. At about 3:00 p.m., the victim noticed that an Apple Ipod, Bose ear phones and a necklace, together valued at almost $600, were missing. Around this same time, another neighbor observed a white male, with the same description, break and enter into another home on the same street. The police were called and apprehended the suspect. Brian Andrew McDonald, 19 of Prince Frederick, was positively identified by the victim as the suspect she observed in her home. McDonald was arrested and charged with burglary and theft.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Henry Elijah Hawkins, 47 of Prince Frederick, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct by DFC Elvis Carter on August 15 at 8:44 p.m. after complainants called and reported a male shooting a BB gun toward the apartments on Shore Acres Way in Prince Frederick. Hawkins caused over $1200 in damage to victims' vehicles when he shot them with a Powerline .177 BB gun.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: Cpl. Vladimir Bortchevsky placed Delano O'Brien Gray, Jr., 23 of Port Republic, under arrest and charged him with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia after conducting a traffic stop at 12:40 a.m. on August 18 near Silverwood Lane in Prince Frederick. Bortchevsky observed Gray to have suspected marijuana in his possession as well as Backwoods Wild N Mild cigars, commonly used to inhale marijuana.
