MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Aug. 18, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DWI, ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 3:36 am, Terry Chontel Price, 29, of Hollywood and Yaw Oduro, 21, of Brandywine were arrested by TFC J. Fleetwood for possession of Marijuana. Ms. Price was operating a gold Chevrolet Malibu on Route 235 in the area of Friendship School Road in Mechanicsville when she was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. Mr. Oduro was the right front passenger in the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, contact was made with the driver, Ms. Price, an odor of burnt Marijuana was detected emitting from the vehicle. While speaking with Ms. Price, a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from her breath. Ms. Price was placed under arrest for DWI. A search incident to arrest revealed a small cellophane baggie of Marijuana and two Phillie cigars on the front passenger floorboard. Both Ms. Price and Mr. Odura were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were charged accordingly.

BURGLARY, THEFT: On Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 12:36 pm, Tpr Gibson responded to the 49000 block of Airedale Road in Ridge for the reported Burglary and Theft over $500. Upon arrival contact was made with the male complainant, 62, of Ridge. He advised unknown suspect(s) broke into his shed and stole 12 fishing rods with spinning and casting reels. Total value of the stolen property is $2,000.00. The fishing rods were last seen on August 14, 2008. The investigation continues.

WARRANT ARREST: On Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 10:07, Ian A. Murray, 33, of Bushwood was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13402) for Failing to Pay Deferred Payment of $457.50 by April 15, 2008. Mr. Murray was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review. Additionally, Mr. Murray was also served a 2nd Bench Warrant (T3-13572) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Hyattsville on July 5, 2008. The original charge was for Prostitution. Mr. Murray was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
