Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Aug. 11, 2008) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT, DOP: Four red fire extinguishers were stolen from the Flag Harbor Marina in St. Leonard between July 31 and August 2. The unknown culprit(s) also caused over $150 in damage when they broke the cases the fire extinguishers were in and broke the antenna off a boat. Dep. Roscoe Kreps is investigating.

DOP: Numerous mailboxes contained together in a mailbox pod were spray-painted with graffiti between August 3 and August 7 on Thunderbird Drive in Lusby. Please contact either Dep. J.D. Norton or Dep. John Harms at 410-535-2800 if you have information.

THEFT: A blue, black and gray colored boys' Mongoose bicycle was stolen from the front porch of a home on F Street in Chesapeake Beach between August 5 and 6. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC Paul Wood at 410-535-2800.

BURGLARY: Unknown suspect(s) broke into a shed behind a home on 8th Street in North Beach sometime between 8:00 p.m. on August 5 and 6:00 a.m. on August 6 and stole a red high pressure power washer valued at $400. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Andrew Woodford at 410-535-2800.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On August 7 at 7:30 a.m. Dep. Thomas Rickard was dispatched to the area of Md. Rt. 231 and Adelina Road in Prince Frederick for the report of a possible road rage incident. The complaint was that a gray Chevrolet Lumina was allegedly attempting to run a silver minivan off the road. Rickard conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver of the Lumina, later identified as Kenneth Ashley Davis, Jr., 37 of Waldorf. Davis was cited for a traffic violation and also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana, for which he was arrested.

THEFT: A red Mengdeli moped valued at $1200 was stolen from in front of a home on 9th Street in North Beach sometime overnight between August 7 & 8. Please contact DFC David Gatton at 410-535-2800 if you have any information regarding the theft.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: A seventeen-year-old male from Chesapeake Beach was stopped on a routine traffic violation by DFC John McCarroll on August 8 at 7:02 p.m. near Limerick Lane and Md. Rt. 260 in Chesapeake Beach. The juvenile was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was charged with possession of marijuana on a youth report and released to a parent.
