PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Aug. 4, 2008) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: One eighteen-year-old male from Owings and a 19-year-old male from Sunderland were both charged with disorderly conduct after police received a call for subjects shooting a gun at parked cars in the Fox Run McDonald's parking lot in Prince Frederick on July 26 at 2:12 a.m. Dep. Ian Umphrey arrived and made contact with the suspects, later identified as Kyle Brandon Butler, 18, and Tyler Michael Sondberg, 19. They were found to be in possession of two air-soft plastic pistols.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Dep. John Harms responded to the public boardwalk in front of Catamaran's Restaurant in Solomons Island on July 29 at 8:18 p.m. for the report of a drunk and disorderly subject. Upon arrival, witnesses advised Dep. Harms that the suspect, later identified as Darrell Duane Jones, Jr., 29 of an unknown address, was harassing them as they were sitting on the boardwalk. He appeared intoxicated and was talking nonsense they said. One witness advised that Jones had grabbed her. Dep. Harms made contact with Jones and detected a strong odor of alcohol. Harms was advised by the control center that they had received four complaint calls on Jones that evening. Jones attempted to walk away from Dep. Harms but was subsequently arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and second degree assault.
DOP: The rear passenger window of a vehicle was smashed while the vehicle was parked outside an apartment complex on Fairground Road in Prince Frederick on July 29 sometime between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The damage is estimated at $500. Dep. Andrew Woodford is investigating.
THEFT: A red Ducati 50 cc scooter worth $1000 was stolen from the yard of a home on Swallow Lane in Lusby by unknown suspect(s) sometime between 1:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on August 1. The scooter has "Froggy" written across the front and black electrical tape all over the frame. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. J.D. Norton at 410-535-2800.
THEFT: Dep. Ian Umphrey investigated a theft of gasoline on August 2. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen 16 gallons of gasoline from his Ford truck while it was parked on Avenue B in St. Leonard between August 1 at 5:30 p.m. and August 2 at 7:30 a.m. Dep. Umphrey is investigating.
