LEONARDTOWN, Md. (July 25, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 4:33 pm, Michael Winfield Proctor, 49, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton for possession of cocaine and CDS paraphernalia. Tpr. Pilkerton responded to the area of the Brass Rail ball field for the reported CDS activity. Upon arrival, contact was made with Mr. Proctor on the bleachers. During the course of the investigation, Mr. Proctor was found to be in possession of a glass CDS smoking device with cocaine. He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 4:05 pm, Matthew Scott Wentz, 22, of Hollywood was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton on an outstanding Circuit Court True Bill Indictment which was issued on July 10, 2008. The original charge on the indictment was Burglary 1st Degree. Mr. Wentz was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 1:05 pm, John Thomas Merrill, 47, of Leonardtown was arrested by Tpr. W. Jefferson on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13508) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on July 11, 2008. The original charge was Driving While Impaired by Alcohol. Mr. Merrill was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center weher he was held pending a bond review.
WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, July 24, 2008, 11:04 pm, Ryan Thomas Woodford, 25, of Hollywood was arrested by TFC M. Moore on an outstanding Circuit Court True Bill Indictment which was issued on June 26, 2008. The original charge on the indictment was Child Abuse 1st Degree: Severe Physical Injury. Mr. Woodford was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
