County officials say the change is designed as part of an effort to use resources more efficiently and to minimize rising costs.
We are constantly looking for ways to improve the services we provide to our customers while making gains in efficiency, said William DeAtley, Chief of Accounting. An invoice that is also a self-mailer is more customer-friendly and cost effective than stocking two types of envelopes, and conserves natural resources by reducing waste.
The first mailing of the new invoices is expected to be sent to water and sewer customers by the end of the week.
