HUGHESVILLE, Md. (July 22, 2008)—Another motorcyclist has perished in southern Maryland after a Keller charter bus turned into the biker's path on Monday evening near Hughesville. Timmy Jerry Corman, age 30 of Waldorf, received fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Maryland State Police from the La Plata Barrack say the Keller bus was traveling southbound on MD 5 at approximately 6:34 p.m. in the area of Gallant Green Rd. in Hughesville when the driver, Charles Howard Crew, Sr., age 59 of Prince Frederick, attempted to make a left turn onto Gallant Green Rd. Corman was traveling northbound on MD 5 on his 2006 Suzuki GSX-R and struck the bus as it turned into his path.

Crew received minor injuries but was not transported from the scene.

The charter bus was not occupied by any other passengers at the time of the collision.

Police list the determining factor in the accident as "Driver Failure to Yield the Right of Way." However, no charges have been filed by the time of publication.

Tfc. John Edelen and investigators from the Maryland State Police Crash Team will continue the investigation.
