LA PLATA, Md. (July 18, 2008) - The Charles County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA ARRESTS: On July 17 at 1:47 a.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers stopped a vehicle in the 8500 block of Bowie Road in Nanjemoy after observing a traffic violation. Officers observed drug paraphernalia inside the car and arrested the driver, Raymond Taylor, Jr., 46, of Waldorf, and the passenger, John Hawkins, 42, of Waldorf. Taylor was charged with driving on a suspended and revoked license and both men were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Officer E. Weaver investigated.

BURGLARY/RECOVERED STOLEN AUTO ARRESTS: On July 16 at 2:15 a.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to Gardiner Equipment the 11700 block of Vernon Road in Waldorf for the report of a burglary in progress. When officers arrived, they observed the suspects trying to steal an ATV from the business. The suspects attempted to flee but were apprehended a short distance away. Further investigation revealed the suspects drove to Charles County in a car stolen from Prince George's County. The car was recovered on Holly Auto Center Lane. The suspects, Nathaniel Joshua King, 26, of Washington, D.C., Marlin Antwoine Nichols, 20, of Arlington, Va., and Letrace Guy Green, 23, of Washington, D.C., were charged with burglary, destruction of property, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and rogue and vagabond. They were remanded to the Charles County Detention Center with $50,000 bond. Det. A. Schwab is investigating.

STOLEN AUTO ARRESTS: On July 15 at 7:55 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers received information that Randy Allen Forgette, 34, of Annapolis was going to try to sell stolen motorcycles to a pawn shop in the 3100 block of Leonardtown Road. in Waldorf. Officers responded to the shop and observed two motorcycles in the suspect's pickup truck. A check revealed the motorcycles were stolen in Anne Arundel County. Forgette was arrested and charged with motor vehicle theft. He was remanded to the Charles County Detention Center. Officer J. McKenzie investigated.

On July 15 at 6:25 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers working an auto theft detail located a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of a shopping center in the 12500 block of Mattawoman Beantown Road in Waldorf. Officers attempted to stop the driver but he jumped out of the car and fled. The driver, a 17-year-old Waldorf male, was apprehended and charged with unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, theft over $500, and driving without a license. He was remanded to a juvenile facility. CITIZEN ARMED ROBBERY: On July 15 at 5:12 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to the 4200 block of Drake Court in Waldorf for the report of a citizen armed robbery. Investigation revealed that the suspect approached a woman as she was getting her mail, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled in a vehicle occupied by two other males.

The suspect is described as a black male with a thin build and dreadlocks. Anyone with information should call the Major Crimes Unit at 301-609-6481.
