MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (July 14, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: On Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 8:10 pm, Jason Bryn Galloway, 31, of Lusby was arrested by TFC M. Laney for Domestic Assault. TFC Laney responded to 21000 FDR Blvd for the reported Disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim, Crystal Renee Ives, 35 of Lusby who advised she was assault by Mr. Galloway. Both parties were interviewed and Mr. Galloway was taken into custody. Ms. Ives was later arrested for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace. Both Galloway and Ives were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were held pending a bond review.

THEFT: On Friday, July 11, 2008 at 3:44 pm, Tpr. M. Adams responded to the 22000 block of MacArthur Blvd. in the San Souci Plaza for the reported Theft over $500. Upon arrival, contact was made with the 42 year old male victim of Lexington Park, who advised unknown suspect(s) stole a metal shelf 3' x 2' valued at $400.00 and a metal table top with legs valued at $2,400.00. The investigation continues.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Sunday, July 13, 2008 at 2:21 am, Sheldon Solomon Young, 28, of Fort Washington was arrested by Tpr. K. Roby for DUI and possession of Marijuana. Mr. Young was operating a black Lincoln when he was stopped on Route 235 at Airport Road in California for an equipment violation. During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. Young was arrested for DUI. A search incident to the arrest revealed Mr. Young was in possession of a small bag of Marijuana and a CDS smoking device. Mr. Young was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: On Sunday, July 13, 2008 at 2:56 pm, Tpr. J. Hardesty and TFC R. Rezza responded to the 26000 block of Independence Drive in Mechanicsville for the reported Domestic Assault. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant who advised she was assaulted by David Isiah Butler, 35, of Mechanicsville. Contact was made with Mr. Butler and a routine check revealed Mr. Butler was wanted through the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office on Child Support charges. Mr. Butler was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Sunday, July 13, 2008 at 6:38 pm, TFC M. Moore responded to the 21000 block of N. Essex Drive in Lexington Park for the reported Malicious Destruction of Property. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant who advised unknown male juveniles spray painted his vehicle. A check of the neighborhood revealed negative results. The investigation continues.

WARRANT ARREST: On Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 9:40 am, Kevin Antionne Makle, 25, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13489) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on July 8, 2008. The original charge was DWI and Driving on Revoked License. Mr. Makle was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 11:14 am, Nathan Jerrard Mowrer, 21, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC R. Rezza on an outstanding Circuit Court Warrant (T3-13232) for Failing to Appear in Circuit Court on January 7, 2008. The original charge was for speeding. Mr. Mowrer was picked up from the Charles County Detention Center. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 7:55 pm, Jason Andrew Junge, 20, of Frostburg, MD was arrested by TFC M. Laney on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13492) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on January 3, 2008. The original charge was Underage Possession of Alcohol. Mr. Junge was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 3:05 am, Darnell Anthony Holley, 23, of Great Mills was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T313466) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on June 20, 2008. The original charge was Possession of Marijuana. Mr. Holley was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
