PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (July 14, 2008) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
DOP: Dep. Jason Lord responded to a home on Highview Road in Chesapeake Beach for a destruction of property call. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had broken six small windows by throwing rocks through them sometime between July 7 and 8. The damage is valued at $180. Dep. Lord will investigate.
THEFT: A blue Glamour Girls 16 inch bicycle with pink highlights was stolen out of the yard of a home on 6th Street in North Beach between 7:30 p.m. on July 8 and 4:15 p.m. on July 9. The bike is valued at $120. Anyone with information is asked to contact CPL James Wahlgren at 410-535-2800.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: Two seventeen-year-old juveniles, a female from Great Mills and a male from Piney Point, were each arrested on a youth report and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after Dep. Aaron Locke conducted a traffic stop on July 9 at 12:03 a.m. in the area of Md. Rt. 2/4 and West End Blvd. in St. Leonard. They were both released to their parents.
THEFT: A Garmin Nuvi Global Positioning System, valued at $300, was stolen from inside a vehicle that was parked on Hallowing Lane in Prince Frederick between 5:30 p.m. on July 9 and 9:30 a.m. on July 10. The vehicle's passenger window, which had plastic
taped over it because it had previously been broken, was entered by the culprit cutting the plastic. Dep. James Morgan is investigating.
BURGLARY: A home in the 3800 block of Chesapeake Beach Road in Chesapeake Beach was burglarized sometime between July 7 and 10. A 32 inch Toshiba flat screen television, which was still new in the box, valued at $800 was stolen. Damage in the amount of $50 caused by the break-in was done to the home. ILLEGAL DRUGS: After conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Md. Rt. 260 westbound and Cornwall Road in Chesapeake Beach on July 10 at 12:15 p.m., Dep. Thomas Rickard discovered a metal pipe (commonly used to inhale a controlled dangerous substance into the body) with burnt marijuana residue inside. The driver, later identified as Christopher Dallas Doss, 32 of Chesapeake Beach, initially gave a false name. He was arrested and charged with false statement to a police officer and possession of drug paraphernalia.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: While investigating the complaint of a loud party at a home in the 4000 block of Plum Point Road in Huntingtown on July 12 at 1:12 a.m., Dep. Jason Dean observed four occupants sitting inside a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the home. A female inside the vehicle was observed to be inhaling a small cigarette sized "blunt" (a hollowed-out cigar then filled with marijuana). The female, later identified as Sarah Ray Ward, 18 of Owings, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and also charged on a civil citation with possession of an alcoholic beverage.
