MSP Reports for Charles County


LA PLATA, Md. (July 10, 2008) - The La Plata Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On June 29, 2008, at approximately 7:45 p.m., TFC J. Edelen was on routine patrol traveling southbound on U.S. Route 301 in the area of Jefferson Farm Place when he stopped Samuel Joseph Bullock, age 18 of Ft. Washington, for a window tint violation. Corporal R. Cuyler of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office arrive at the scene with her K-9 and performed a scan on the vehicle with a positive alert. Bullock was charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On July 3, 2008, at approximately 1:02 p.m., TFC J. Edelen was on routine patrol on eastbound Post Office Road in the area of Industrial Park Drive when he made a traffic stop on Eric Denon Cooke, age 37 of Indian Head. While speaking with Cooke, Sergeant C. Force of the Maryland State Police arrived on the scene with her K-9, Maddie, and conducted a scan on the vehicle with positive alert. Cooke was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance of schedule IV, to with Ambien and did possess a controlled dangerous substance of schedule I, marijuana.

VEHICLE THEFT: On July 4, 2008, at approximately 3:49 p.m., Trooper W. Posey was on routine patrol on northbound St. Charles Parkway south of Post Office Road when he stopped Perraz Lydell Chisley, age 18 of Waldorf, for stolen tags. A check also revealed the vehicle was stolen as well. Chisley and his passengers were removed from the vehicle. Chisley, and Carlos Leon Baker, age 19 of Pomfret, and 4 juveniles were arrested for motor vehicle theft, theft of license plates and did possess a controlled dangerous substance, marijuana.
