St. Mary's Sheriff Announces Summer Traffic Safety Enforcement Patrols


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (July 3, 2008)—St. Mary's County Sheriff Timothy Cameron announced the July schedule this week for his Summer Traffic Safety Enforcement Program. Cameron says School Resource Officers will be working with the Traffic Safety Unit patrolling neighborhoods and other areas providing high profile, focused traffic enforcement in an attempt to reduce speeding, aggressive driving, red light, stop sign offenses and other traffic safety violations.

Deputies will be assigned in the following areas in July:

July 1 - All Faith Church, Golden Beach

July 2 - Country Lakes, Wicomico Shores

July 3 - Rt 235 and 4 - Red Light Enforcement

July 7 - 11 - Will be conducting ATV Enforcement within neighborhoods

July 14 - Cedar Cove, Greenbrier

July 15 - Hickory Hills, Buck Hewitt

July 17 - Rt 5 Leonardtown, Washington Street

July 18 - South Essex Drive, Patuxent Homes

July 21 - Old Village, Baptist Church Rd.

July 23 - Persimmon Hills

July 24 - Breton Bay, St Clements Shores

July 25 - Wildewood

July 28 - Hunting Quarters, Wilderness Run, Indian Bridge Rd

July 30 - Town Creek, Patuxent Homes

July 31 - Golden Beach
