MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (June 30, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

VIOLATION OF PEACE ORDER: On Monday, June 23, 2008 at 9:23 pm, Andre Moreno O'brien, 23, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. M. Pitcher for violation of peace order which was issued by the District Court in Leonardtown. Mr. Moreno violated the peace order by contacting and threatening the Petitioner. Mr. Moreno was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

BURGLARY: On Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 12:24 pm, TFC J. Fleetwood responded to the 25000 block of Pappy's Way in Hollywood for the reported burglary. During the course of the investigation, contact was made with the female victim who advised unknown suspect(s) broke into the victim's garage and stole a 2004 Kawasaki dirt bike, model KX250F with Chevrolet graphics valued to $2,500.00. Also taken was a motorcycle stand and a pair of green and black safety googles. Total value of items stolen is $2,570.00. The investigation continues.

POSSESSION OF COCAINE: On Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 8:24 am, John Frederick Miller III, 43, of California was arrested by TFC M. Laney for possession of cocaine. TFC Laney responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 4 at Route 235 in California. Contact was made with both driver's and a routine check through MVA revealed Mr. Miller's driving privileges are suspended. Mr. Miller was taken in custody and a search incident to arrest revealed he was in possession of cocaine and two CDS smoking devices. Mr. Miller was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly both criminally and traffic.

THEFT OF MERCHANDISE: On Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 2:22 pm, Latoya Tricia Jones, 22, Keara Lashawn Greer, 18, and Alicia Ann Washington, 22, all from Lexington Park, were arrested for Theft under $500.00. Tpr. M. Adams responded to area of the Food Lion in California for the reported Theft of merchandise. During the course of the investigation, contact was made with the female complainant who advised she observed Ms. Jones and Ms. Greer take items from Food Lion without paying for the items. They were also in possession of clothing which was taken from both the Old Navy store and Ross department store. All three subjects were taken into custody, transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were charged accordingly and detained pending a bond review.

THEFT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE: On Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 4:15 pm, the female complainant responded to the Leonardtown Barrack to report the theft of a motor vehicle. The complainant advised she loaned the silver 2007 Nissan Maxima, Texas Registration, DPN590 to an acquaintance on June 26, 2008 at 6:00 pm and he failed to return the vehicle. The vehicle has been entered into NCIC and the investigation continues.

WARRANT ARREST: On June 26, 2008 at 10:05 am, Brian Arthur Saltais, 34, of Culpepper, VA was arrested by Tpr. W. Jefferson on an Arrest Warrant (T3-13264) which was issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on January 25, 2008. The original charge was six counts of Fraud / Identity Theft. The warrant was served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center after Mr. Saltais was transported from the Department of Corrections where he was serving time on other charges.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, June 26, 2008 at 11:40 am, William Dennis Parker, 43, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. W. Jefferson on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13400) for Failing to pay a deferred payment to the Court by March 31, 2008. The original charge was DWI/DUI. Mr. Parker was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, June 27, 2008 at 12:05 am, Shawn Patrick Dowell, 18, of St. Inigoes was arrested by Tpr. M. Adams on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13465) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on June 20, 2008. The original charge was Assault 2nd Degree. Mr. Dowell was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Friday, June 28, 2008 at 2:10 am, Eric Lamont Figeroux, 34, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. E. Page on an Arrest Warrant (T3-13455) which was issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on June 11, 2008. The original charge was Assault 2nd Degree. Mr. Figeroux was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Friday, June 28, 2008 at 3:15 pm, John Thomas Merrill, 47, of Prince Frederick was arrested by Tpr. C. Evans on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13463) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown for Preliminary Inquiry on June 13, 2008. The original charge was DWI/DUI. Mr. Merrill was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
