MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (June 23, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

RESISTING ARREST: On Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 4:01 am, James Gant Mills, 61, of Clements, was arrested by TFC R. Rezza for Resisting Arrest. TFC R. Rezza and TFC M. Moore responded to the 24000 block of Horse Shoe Road in Clements to serve an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13457) issued by the District Court in Charles County on June 2, 2008. The original charge was for DWI/DUI and Driving on a Revoked License. Mr. Mills was taken into custody after a brief scuffle and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Friday, June 20, 2008 at 12:01 am, William Robert Ryan Fitch, 18, of St. Leonard, and Phillip Randolph Adams, 28, of Mechanicsville were arrested by TFC P. Trossbach for possession of Cocaine, Marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. Mr. Fitch was operating a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse on Mervell Dean Road in the area of Beck Road in Hollywood when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. During the course of the traffic stop, contact was made with Mr. Fitch and Mr. Adams and a strong odor of burnt Marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Cocaine, Marijuana and CDS paraphernalia were found in the vehicle. They were taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center in Leonardtown where they held pending a bond review.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Sunday, June 22, 2008 at 12:20 pm, Joseph Cephus Harrod, 22, of Prince Frederick, was arrested by Tpr. M. Adams for Disorderly Conduct. Tpr. Adams responded to the area of Rogers Drive and Missouri Avenue in Lexington Park for the reported Disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with Mr. Harrod as he was yelling profanities at other people in the area. Mr. Harrod was asked to stop acting in a disorderly fashion. He ignored Troopers request and was subsequently arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 7:49 pm, Jennifer Lynn Morgan, 44, of Marbury was arrested by Tpr. K. Roby on an outstanding Circuit Court Warrant (T3-13460) which was issued on June 12, 2008. The original charge was possession of CDS - not Marijuana with intent to distribute. Ms. Morgan was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 2:00 pm, Brian Douglas Corbin, 29, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. E. Page on an Arrest Warrant (T3-134454) which was issued on June 11, 2008 by the District Court in Leonardtown. The original charge was Assault 2nd Degree and Theft under $500. Mr. Corbin was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
