MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (June 13, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: On Sunday, June 8, 2008 at 9:39 am, Tpr. D. Brill responded to the 28000 block of Old Village Road in Mechanicsville for the reported theft over $500.00. During the course of the investigation, contact was made with the female complainant who advised unknown suspect(s) stole three pieces of jewelry from her residence. The jewelry was taken from the residence between April 5, 2008, when they were last seen and June 8, 2008. The investigation continues.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Monday, June 9, 2008 at 2:51 pm, Tpr. G. Thompson responded to the Leonardtown Barrack for the reported malicious destruction of property to a motor vehicle. The female complainant advised that unknown suspect(s) keyed her red 2006 Honda Accord while it was parked in 45000 block of Krystal Lane in Great Mills. The vehicle was keyed on the passenger side from the outside mirror along the side to the rear of the vehicle. The investigation continues.

JUVENILE ASSAULT: On Monday, June 9, 2008 at 7:55 pm, Tpr. G. Thompson responded to the 24000 block of Morgan Road in Hollywood for the reported juvenile assault. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant who advised she was kicked in the chest by a 13-year-old male juvenile. Both parties were interviewed. The juvenile was charged with 2nd degree assault and released to his father at the scene pending further action by Juvenile Services.

ASSAULT: On Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 8:44 pm, Tpr. G. Thompson responded to the reported disturbance in the 21000 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male victim, who advised he was assaulted by Sharon Denade Thomas, 45, of Lexington Park. Ms. Thomas was taken into custody, charged with 1st degree assault and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was detained pending a bond review. The investigation continues and other charges are pending.

BURGLARY: On Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 12:30 pm, Tpr. E. Page responded to the reported burglary to a residence in the 17000 block of St. Inigoes Road in St. Inigoes. Contact was made with the male victim who advised unknown suspect(s) removed the screen from the garage window and opened the window. There was no damage to the screen or window and nothing was taken from the garage. The investigation continues.

BURGLARY: On Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 6:21 pm, Tpr. C. Evans responded to the 29000 block of Boundary Drive in Mechanicsville for the reported burglary. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male and female complainants at the residence who advised unknown suspect(s) entered their residence and took keys to the house between the 10:15 pm -10:50 pm. There was no damage to the residence and nothing else of value was taken. The investigation continues.

ASSAULT: On Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 6:48 pm, Tpr M. Pitcher responded to the reported disturbance in the 45000 block of Highway to Heaven Lane in Great Mills. Upon arrival contact was made with the female complainant who advised she was assaulted by David Allen Harding, 22, of Great Mills. Mr. Harding was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and detained pending a bond review. The investigation continues as other charges are pending.

WARRANT ARREST: On Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 1:55 am, Goeffrey Scott Welcome, 45, of Great Mills was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13327) for Failing to Appear in District Court on March 20, 2008. The original charges are Possession of CDS paraphernalia, DWI/DUI and Driving on a Suspended License. Mr. Welcome was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 2:30 am, James Price, 47, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. K. Roby on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13420) for Failing to Appear in District Court on May 23, 2008. The original charges are Possession of CDS - not Marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Mr. Price was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 5:50 pm, Louis W. Price, 51, of Great Mills was served a Bench Warrant (T3-13397) by Tpr. G. Thompson for Failing to Pay Deferred Payment of $100.00 by November 9, 2007. Mr. Price was incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 9:55 pm, Janay Katrice Brown, 27, of Hyattsville was arrested by Tpr. C. Evans on an outstanding Arrest Warrant (T3-13145) which was issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on November 7, 2007. The original charges were Theft under $500.00, Theft over $500.00, Forgery of Private Documents and Issue False Documents. Ms. Brown was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review.
