Weapons Stolen From Lexington Park Retailer


LEXINGTON PARK, Md. (June 5, 2008)—Police report that an undisclosed number of weapons were stolen early Thursday morning from the Tackle Box store in Lexington Park.

At approximately 3 a.m., police responded to an alarm at the store. Maryland State Police Trooper Roby was the first to arrive. He found the front door had been forced open. Troopers and sheriff's deputies searching the store determined that an undisclosed number of weapons had been removed from a glass case.

St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) detectives responded to the store and assumed the investigation.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 301-475-4200, extension 9017 or Crime Solvers at 301-475-3333. Contacting Crime Solvers may qualify the caller for a financial reward.
