WALDORF, Md. (May 23, 2008) - Charles County is receiving a new family medicine practitioner. Dr. Karlene Ross, MD has announced the opening of her new family medicine practice, Waldorf Primary Care.
Dr. Ross, a new resident of Southern Maryland, practiced medicine in New York for over 10 years. She completed her training in family medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Ross says her entire career has included work in underserved communities. Ross added that she looks forward to filling a significant need for primary care physicians in Charles County.
There is a significant physician shortage in Southern Maryland, according to the Maryland Physicians Workforce Report.
Dr. Ross is a board certified family practitioner. Ross says the services offered at Waldorf Primary Care include pediatrics, adult medicine, gynecology, urgent care, chronic disease management, and minor procedures.
Dr. Ross' office is located at 3460 Old Washington Road, Suite 103, in Waldorf.
