LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 22, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
STOLEN MOTOR HOME: On Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 8:00 am, a male complainant contacted TFC K. Lashley at the Leonardtown Barrack regarding the theft of a 2005 Sparta Excursion motor home, Maryland registration (515M410) with an expiration of 07/2007. The motor home was stolen on May 20, 2008 between the hours of 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm from the 46000 block of Bates Road in Great Mills. It is described as being 39' in length and the color is three shades green. All the windows are tinted and there are large letters spelling "EXCURSION" across the front. There is also a black bra covering the front grill area. Around the time the motor home was stolen a blue Ford Windstar van with two white males was observed on Bates Road in the area of where the motor home was parked. A white male drove the motor home as the Ford Windstar van followed. The motor home has been entered into NCIC. The investigation continues.
ASSAULT: On Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 4:66 pm, Dennis Alberto Arredondo, age 22 of Lexington Park, was arrested by TFC P. Trossbach for 2nd Degree Assault. During the course of the investigation, contact was made with the female victim, who advised she was assaulted by Mr. Arredondo. Mr. Arredondo was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 7:46 pm, Raymond Alan Knight, age 20 of Pomfret, was arrested by TFC P. Trossbach for Disorderly Conduct. Mr. Knight was severely intoxicated when he was involved in a fight at M.I.R. in Budds Creek. After the fight was broken up, Mr. Knight continued creating a disturbance by yelling obscenities at the security personnel. Mr. Knight was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
THEFT: On Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 9:59 am, Tpr. N. Gresko responded to Ledo's in Leonardtown for the reported theft from motor vehicle. Contact was made with the victim who advised unknown suspect(s) stole his Kenwood CD player from his brown Mercury Topaz which was parked at his residence in the 22000 block of Sparrow Court in Leonardtown. Total loss was $500.00 and the investigation continues.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 12:06 am, Robert Phillip Bell, 2nd, 33, of Annapolis was arrested by TFC L. Nims for possession of Cocaine and CDS paraphernalia. Mr. Bell was operating a green Mazda Protégé on Route 235 south of Clover Hill Road in Hollywood when he was stopped for an equipment violation. During the course of the traffic stop, contact was made with Mr. Bell and an odor of burnt Marijuana was emanating from inside the vehicle. Mr. Bell was found to be in possession of a clear plastic bag of Cocaine in addition to loose marijuana seeds on floorboard. Mr. Bell was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and detained pending a bond review.
GRAFFITI: On Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 5:30 pm, Cpl. S. Bennett responded to the intersection of Route 5 and Route 4 south of Leonardtown for a malicious destruction of State property. Unknown suspect(s) had spray painted graffiti on the guardrail. Estimated cost to replace the guardrail is $1,500.00. Investigation continues.
WARRANT ARREST: On Monday, May 19, 2008 at 4:47 am, Timothy J. Butler, 25, of Lusby was arrested by TFC R. Rezza on an outstanding bench warrant (T3-13405) for failing to pay deferred payment of $100.00. Mr. Butler was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending payment of the restitution.
WARRANT ARREST: On Monday, May 19, 2008 at 5:10 am, Lisa Marie Tippett, 42, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC L. Nims on an outstanding arrest warrant (T3-13395).
WARRANT ARREST: On Monday, May 19, 2008 at 9:21 am, Francis Jerome Miles, 59, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. N. Gresko on an outstanding bench warrant (T3-13389) for failing to appear in District Court in Leonardtown on May 2, 2008. The original charge was DUI/DWI and driving on a revoked license. Mr. Miles was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
