LEONARDTOWN, Md. (, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) on Thursday released the following incident and arrest reports.
DWI/DUI, ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Sunday, May 11, 2008 at 11:56 am, Warren Len Moak, age 50, of Ridge was arrested by TFC L. Nims for DWI/DUI and possession of Marijuana. Mr. Moak was operating a white Saturn when he was stopped on Route 4, at South Patuxent Beach Road in California as a result of a broadcast for a possible drunk driver and reckless operation. During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. Moak was arrested DWI/DUI. A search incident to the arrest revealed two metal cans containing Marijuana. Mr. Moak was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was incarcerated pending a bond review.
THEFT: On Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 7:31 am, TFC L. Nims responded to the 44000 block of Airport View Drive in Hollywood for the reported Theft Under $100. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant who advised unknown suspect(s) stole his Maryland registration plates from his vehicle. The registration plates have been entered into NCIC and the investigation continues.
THEFT: On Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 10:03 am, a male complainant made contact with D/Sgt J. McCauley at the Leonardtown Barrack regarding the Theft under $100. He advised unknown suspect(s) stole the front license plate. The tag has been entered into NCIC and the investigation continues.
WARRANT ARREST: On Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 11:30 pm, Melissa Jan Higgs, 32, of Conway, SC was arrested by TFC E. Evans on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13394) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on May 9, 2008. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License. Ms. Higgs was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was detained pending a bond review.
WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 6:00 pm, Jennifer Lynn Landis, 25, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13396) for Violation of Probation. The original charge was Failing to Pay Restitution to the Court in Calvert County. Ms. Landis was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review.
